The uArm Swift Pro is an open source Arduino based robot arm designed for desktop use. This well engineered solid aluminium robot arm has many applications including laser engraving, painting, writing and even 3D printing. This version of the uArm Swift comes with a vacuum gripper and uses stepper motors with 12-bit encoder and customised gearbox to provide smooth and precise movements for delicate tasks. It has a repeatability of under 0.2mm.
The uArm Swift Pro has a learning mode that you use to teach the robot arm to perform movements without a computer. Simply activate the learning mode and trace the movement you want. The uArm will repeat the movement exactly.
It comes with a Bluetooth dongle for wireless computer access and control. The software provided by uFactory (uArm Studio) provides you with many options to control the high precision desktop robot arm. Program the arm in a block based graphical interface, direct mouse and keyboard control and also supports gesture control.
The uArm Swift Pro supports OpenMV cam. Using the OpenMV cam with the uArm can add face, marker and colour detection to your project. A built in Grove socket in the uArm means that Grove modules can be directly plugged into robot arm. Easily add sensors, LCD displays and many other Grove electronic components.
Note: This version of the uArm Swift Pro comes with the vacuum gripper only and not any extensions like the metallic gripper (shown in picture), universal holder or laser. Other extensions can add more functionality like 3D printing, laser engraving and many more.
Note: The uArm Swift Pro comes with a US 2 pin plug. A UK adapter will work fine.
