This kit includes everything you need to get started and make a robot. The parts included in the kit are enough to make a beginners Line Follower or even a Wall Follower. The kit is designed such that a variety of development boards can be incorporated onto your bot, along with ample space and holes to mount and place numerous sensors.
The kit includes:
Parts Description:
The chassis is made up of acrylic and is strong enough to withstand minor crashes and of course the weight of the bot. There are two units, the base and the platform. The base is used to mount the motors and other sensors close to the ground. Whereas the platform is used to mount the development boards (like Arduino), shields and other sensors. The accessories provided with the kit (spacers, screws etc.) are used to properly mount the chassis and the platform on top of each other.
Throughout the chassis, there are several holes and spaces provides to strategically mount sensors and other boards. It has dedicated hole mounts for boards like Arduino, Raspberry Pi etc.
The kit includes two 300 RPM** BO-Motors along with compatible wheels. The chassis has nicely cut holes to properly mount the motors and the wheels attached to them. The holes are cut such that the wheels and the motors do not protrude out of the entire bot. They fit comfortably as though being integrated within the bot, while at the same time modular enough to replace if needed.
Arduino provides a very easy and versatile tool to be programmed, and yet it is powerful enough to handle complex algorithms like maze solving as well. As a result we selected the Arduino UNO as the 'brains' of our kit. Programming the UNO is very easy and only requires a USB cable (provided) connected to your computer to get started. Included also is a Motor Driver shield compatible with the Arduino. Thus, getting the motors running and controlled by the Arduino is quite easy.
There are 3 IR Sensor modules included with the kit. They have both analog as well as digital outputs, and as a result can be used for many applications like a distance sensor or an obstacle sensor.
