The ZRS series RS-232 interface modules make it easy to communicate RS-232 data to NCD devices. Based on the MAX3232 interface chip, the ZRS converts RS-232 data to 3.3V standard required for NCD Industrial Devices. The ZRS includes 3 on-board LEDs used to indicate Power, TX, and RX communications for easy reference. The ZRS was designed specifically for use with NCD Industrial series devices, including ProXR, ProXR Lite, Fusion, Reactor, Taralist, Pulsar, and many more. The ZRS is available in 3 versions:
Three RS-232 Connection Options
There are three RS-232 connection options available for this controller.
ZRS-A Wire It Up |
ZRS-B Plug It In |
ZRS-AB Both! |
The ZRS-A provides RS-232 communications access via 3 screw terminals for Tx, Rx, and Ground connections. This version is specified for use in direct wired installations.
The ZRS-B provides RS-232 communications access via a DB9 Female connector. This version is specified for use for direct connection to PCs with a standard serial interface.
The ZRS-AB provides RS-232 communications access via 3 screw terminals for Tx, Rx, and Ground connections. This version also includes a off-board DB9 female connector and 3 wires (6″ or 152mm in length) that connect the Ground, Tx, and Rx lines to the ZRA-A module. This version is specified for use in installations where the DB9 connector needs more flexibility in mounting locations.
NCD RS-232 Serial Communication modules make it easy to integrate the worlds most prolific communication standard. Easily interface to desktop PCs and laptops for easy control via standard serial commands. Most NCD devices typically default to 115.2K Baud; however, older low-cost devices implement 9600 baud data rate as the predominate standard.
